I’m a freelance writer and I live in East Acton, in lovely London.
I worked at innocent drinks for nearly 7 years, finishing up as their senior copywriter, and I’ve written, edited and proofed lots of stuff for lots of other people as well: fiction, magazine features, web copy, marketing bits and pieces, you name it. I’m a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders and I’ve done various bits of professional training, and turn my hand to editing and proofing other people’s copy from time to time. I’ve started to cobble together a makeshift portfolio with a few examples of things I’ve written.
When I’m not writing for money, I like to work on my permanently half-written novel, write short stories and read books and magazines.
And on the few rare occasions when I haven’t got my nose in either a book or a laptop, my interests include hanging out with my kids (they’re 8 and 11), shopping at charity shops and car boot sales, re-arranging my collections of tat and second-hand books, drinking pints, listening to music (current obsessions: the Mighty Wah!, Dusty Springfield, Northern Soul), walking in the woods, riding horses, baking, eating, knitting (badly), watching indie films, and lots of other stuff, too, for which there is never enough time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
